About me & Going forward
I am a 23 year old network engineer at an MSP. About a year and a half ago I discovered networking through college and was very interested in it. I started studying from Jeremy's IT lab course online and eventually got my CCNA right before I landed my first help desk job. After starting getting to basic helpdesk experience I started studying for my CCNP ENARSI exam. A few months after working on helpdesk I got a junior network engineering role doing a huge LAN refresh. During my time in the role I got a ton of hands on experience and got to troubleshoot a lot of issues, work with a bunch of engineers and CCIE's. It was a great experience. Fast forward to now, I have got promoted at my job, have passed CCNP ENCOR and CCNP ENARSI and am now looking to take CCNP ENSLD in May as well as my PCNSA soon. I am very passionate about networking if that isn't obvious.
In my free time I like to watch football, hangout with friends, study, and cook. Going forward in my career I want to keep expanding my knowledge and my big current goal is to eventually go for my CCIE. However, there is too much that interests me right now and I want to work in the field more to get more experience. So my next step after I pass PCNSA and ENSLD is to start on automation. I think this is a key skill to have moving forward which is why I want to learn more about it. I also really like Palo Alto and want to get better with them.
This blog is going contain a lot of different things. I may write about work experiences, studying tips, home labbing, topics I have been studying about, and how my progress with certifications is going. The majority is going to be networking topics as I hope this blog is able to help others. For now I will be hosting this blog through the cloud but eventually I will get this self hosted. My goal is to get my CCIE before I turn 26, so a little under 3 years.
